In April 2019, Clemens Deinhofer assumed the role of a doctoral researcher in the field of Information Systems at the Institute for Information Systems at the University of Bern. He collaborates with Prof. Dr. Thomas Myrach, Prof. Dr. Tobias Häberlein, and Stefan Eggel, M.Sc., in leading the TEWI research center. This center specializes in exploring the impacts, effects, and trends within today's digital societies.
Prior to taking on this position, he pursued a full-time master's degree at the University of Innsbruck in Austria. Even during his studies, he actively contributed as a student assistant to research activities at the University of Innsbruck. Additionally, he served as a business partner in the University of Innsbruck's Uni Management Club. Beyond academia, Clemens has experience in the field of Information and Communication Technology, having completed an apprenticeship as an IT technician.
His research primarily revolves around the dynamics of digital societies and their interactions within (virtual) organisation such as higher education and IT. His secondary area of research focuses on understanding digital transformation in the workplace. Currently, he maintains close collaborations with entities in Switzerland, specifically the Canton of Valais and the FFHS Fernfach Hochschule Schweiz, in exploring this aspect. He also engages with international partners from Austria, Germany, and Italy to investigate the impacts and influences of virtual companies on organizations, enterprises, and networks.
