In April 2019, Clemens Deinhofer took over the doctoral position for Information Systems at the Institute for Information Systems at the University of Bern and, with the help of Prof. Dr. Thomas Myrachm Prof. Dr. Tobias Häberlein and Stefan Eggel, M.Sc. he leading the TEWI research center, which examines the influences, effects and developments of digital societies in today's world.
Before he took up the position, he was studying in full-time on a master’s degree at the University of Innsbruck in Austria. But even during his studies he worked as a student assistant in research at the University of Innsbruck. He was also a business partner in the Uni Management Club of the University of Innsbruck. But he has also worked in research and in sector of ICT outside of the University. He completed an apprenticeship as an IT technician and was able to gain a lot of experience in the field of ICT.
In his research, Clemens Deinhofer focuses, among other things, on digital societies and how they collaborate with each other in (virtual) companies. His second important research area tries to gain knowledge in the field of digital transformation at the workplace. In this area he is currently cooperating very closely with Switzerland, more precisely with the Canton of Valais and the FFHS Fernfach Hochschule Schweiz. But he also deals with international partners from Austria, Germany and Italy about the effects and influences of virtual companies in organizations, companies and networks.
