Research exchanges at the 10th Doctoral Consortium of the Swiss Chapter of the AIS

At the 10th Doctoral Consortium of the Swiss Chapter of the AIS (CHAIS), André Scholl had the opportunity to present some of his research findings to fellow researchers. These findings focused on the open government data (OGD) ecosystem: the interactions between key stakeholders, the data lifecycle processes, and the main enabling and hindering factors for the publication and use of OGD. This was explored from both a systematic literature review and interviews from practice.

Presentation and discussions on the publication and use of open government data

André Scholl presented a segment of his ongoing research to the Open Government Data (OGD) Secretariat at the Swiss Federal Statistical Office (FSO), addressing both the publication and utilization of OGD. The Secretariat plays a central role in coordinating Switzerland’s national OGD strategy and serves as a support hub for both data providers and users. The ensuing discussion proved to be intellectually stimulating and productive, fostering a meaningful dialogue between academic research and public sector practice. The research findings stem from the current study conducted by Mr. André Scholl in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Thomas Myrach, provisionally titled "Two Sides of the Same Coin: An Ontological Network of Open Government Data Publication and Usage, Derived from Differentiated Perspectives."
